SAMUEL “SANDY” HERZFELD
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, PRINCIPAL
As CEO of Guardian, Sandy Herzfeld is responsible for setting strategy and overseeing the business and operations of Guardian. Pursuing a consistent growth strategy, Sandy and his team have elevated Guardian’s prominence and impact as he seeks to continue leading the industry.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, PRINCIPAL
Alan Bressler, Guardian’s Chief Operating Officer, has contributed to Guardian on many levels since he began working within the organization. Focusing on internal operations, overseeing the Finance, IT, HR, and Strategy & Planning teams, Alan has helped create the strategy function at Guardian and was instrumental in Guardian’s marketing and brand initiatives.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Allen Fredericks, who joined Guardian in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer, brings extensive and broad-based experience in all aspects of accounting, internal controls, business management, and profit improvement initiatives. Both an MBA and CMA, he has had great success with start-up and re-engineering financial functions, establishing sound financial and business policy and partnering with senior management to achieve business goals.

A Guardian employee since 2010, Joe brings 25+ years of expertise in Real Estate Development, Management, Facility Management, Building System Administration and Practical Mechanical Engineering. During his tenure with Guardian, Joe has continuously honed his facility services skills, by turning his focus from an end user perspective to that of a service provider. He is a contributor and benefactor of Guardian’s century of experience, expertise and leadership. Joe possesses a diverse skill set which enables him to manage large-scale projects, from inception to completion, from a financial and operational perspective. Joe is an industry thought leader and has earned his reputation for delivering on his promises.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Charles LoBosco joined Guardian in 2013 and provides senior level leadership in developing cost effective security service programs throughout Connecticut, Westchester and New York City. Charles, an industry veteran with +29 years’ experience as a facility services executive brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and expertise to Guardian. In addition to providing senior level leadership, Charles also oversees Guardian’s Security Services division, inclusive of pricing, staffing, financial analysis and labor relations.

Jonathan Kessler joined Guardian in 2014 and is responsible for strategic implementation, driving revenue, and growth for the company. In addition he oversees New Jersey and New England operations. Jonathan is a senior executive with over 19 years’ experience in operation platforms, sales strategies and tactics that deliver revenue growth.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, JANITORIAL OPERATIONS
David joined Guardian in 2017, and has extensive background in Operations, Labor Relations, Law, Social Services and Human Resources. David is a senior management professional with over 35 years of extensive experience overseeing national facility maintenance, Engineering, Security, human resources, labor relations, and business operations. David’s natural leadership abilities have created strong working relationships with clients and unions, including the SEIU and AFL-CIO affiliations. David’s responsibilities include, business development, budgeting, estimating, negotiating and affecting profitability. David is presently an active member of the L32BJ – Shortman Training Fund.
VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES & CLIENT SERVICES
Lyn Bressler joined Guardian Service Industries in March 2015 as Head of Human Resources. She brings 4+ years of experience in human resource management of dynamic, emerging companies. Among her goals is to ensure that Guardian is an inspiring place to work, and her own enthusiasm for the position will make that attitude an infectious one. She plays an important role in helping the company achieve its strategic imperatives and live its core values. Lyn is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Human Resources Association of New York. Additionally, Lyn is an official ISSA Certification Expert and a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
VICE PRESIDENT, LABOR RELATIONS
Jeremy Bressler joined Guardian in 2007. Jeremy performs a wide variety of duties related to contract administration; contract negotiations; grievance and arbitration issues; and employee relations concerns including, but not limited to, providing definitive direction, interpretative guidance and support to our service line and administrative units on multiple collective bargaining agreements; policy and procedure compliance; and adherence to local, state and federal laws governing employment practices. Additionally, Jeremy is an official ISSA Certification Expert.
VICE PRESIDENT, LIGHTING & WINDOW MAINTENANCE
Matthew Bressler joined Guardian in 2011 and is responsible for the operation and financial reporting for the Windows and Lighting Division. Additionally, Matthew is an Authorized OSHA Trainer and an official ISSA Certification Expert.
VICE PRESIDENT, RISK MANAGEMENT
Brian Meagher, Vice President, Risk Management has been a key player at Guardian Services for the past 20 years. He is a leader that advises the organization on all potential risks to the profitability and/or existence of the company. He identifies and assesses threats, put plans in place and decides how to avoid, reduce or transfer risks. His expertise and background is grounded in, enterprise risk, corporate governance, regulatory and operational risk, business continuity, information and security risk, technology risk and market and credit risk.
VICE PRESIDENT, ADMINISTRATION
Bernice Ruiz joined Guardian in 2012 and manages the RFP process, the negotiation of contracts and participates in the development of organizational policies and procedures. Bernice has also been instrumental in the growth and development of key customer event properties.
