Harold Bressler
Chairman of the Board
Harold has owned and operated the company since 1945, when it was known as Empire State Cleaning Maintenance Company. In 1976, he became Chairman and passed on the day-to-day operations to his son and son-in-law. Harold graduated from New York University in 1942 and served in the United Stated Army from 1942-1945.

Sandy Herzfeld
Chief Executive Officer
Sandy joined the company in 1970. Together, with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, he has overseen the dramatic growth of the company throughout the past few decades. Sandy graduated from the New York University Graduate School of Business in 1967, and worked for Bishop Rosen, Inc. and Shearson Hamill, Inc., as a registered agent, prior to joining Guardian

Alan Bressler
Chief Operating Officer
Alan joined his father and brother-in-law in 1980 and currently serves as Guardian’s Chief Operating Officer. Alan graduated in 1979 from Ohio University with dual degrees in Psychology and History. During his tenure at Guardian, Alan has fostered the growth of many complimentary businesses; they include lighting, engineering and a messenger center division.

Sam Herzfeld

Executive Vice President
Sam, having had extensive experience in the real estate industry, joined his family’s business in 2003 to build upon Guardian’s reputation for providing premier service to the commercial real estate industry. Sam’s responsibilities include leading the firm’s team of account executives and quality control personnel to ensure top-notch service. As Guardian moves into new territories and service offerings, Sam will provide the vision and leadership to guarantee success in these endeavors.

Ilene Bressler
Vice President - Procurement
Ilene brings her skills as Executive Producer of national TV commercials to the building maintenance industry. Her logistical expertise keeps dozens of Guardian-maintained buildings supplied with hundreds of products, on time and on budget. She is also assisting with the implementation of the Guardian Green program. Ilene earned her BA from Syracuse University and a Masters Degree from Boston College and joined the family business in 2003.

Brian Meagher
Chief Financial Officer
Over 40 years experience in managing accounting, finance and information technology. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining state of the art integrated systems to produce timely and accurate financial statements, monitor the profitability of business units and provide working capital for current operations and growth projections. Additionally, Brian maintains bank relations, tax planning, information technology, cost control, insurance, legal issues and risk management

Mike Eisenberg
Managing Director
With over 20 years of varied experience in the facilities maintenance industry, Mike Eisenberg is responsible for managing the business development and marketing activities for Guardian Service Industries. Mike has developed and implemented sales processes, marketing plans, performance metrics and compensation plans to achieve corporate growth plans. His current responsibilities include sales force management, strategic business development, marketing plan development and new business ventures. Mike oversees a staff of account executives and business development professionals responsible for all marketing and sales activities at Guardian Service Industries and is instrumental in developing and expanding offerings and customer base for Guardian. He is currently working with his staff to expand Guardian throughout the United States.

Executive Vice President - Engineering Services
Greg Bassignani an accomplished professional with over 20 years experience in the commercial real estate and facilities maintenance industry. Greg is responsible for the management of all accounts and oversees the operations and development of client projects, renovations, mechanical installations; energy related retrofits as well as tenant related projects. Greg also supervises all staffing related matters with regard to specific account requirements.

Having over 30 years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance, Peter Manetti is the executive vice president for Guardian Services Industries responsible for managing the Janitorial division of business. Mr. Manetti has an extensive background in technical operations including services rendered to the Educational, Pharmaceutical, Commercial and Retail sectors of the industry. Mr. Manetti is also responsible for the implementation and operations of “Guardian Green System Cleaning” for the company.

Executive Vice President of Security Services
With over 10 years of varied experience in the Commercial Real Estate & Security Services industry, Rich Lifrieri is responsible for growth of the security services division’s bottom line while developing existing and new business partnerships in an effort to brand Guardian Security Services nationwide as the preeminent leader. In addition, Mr. Lifrieri is responsible for the management of all Human Resources, Operations, Training and customer support services within the division.

David Marshall
Director of Human Resources
David Marshall has over 20 years of experience in the cleaning maintenance industry. He honed his skills serving in various capacities during these years with different companies. Presently, as director of Human Resources, David’s responsibility includes the weekly processing of the overall GSI payroll, the interpretation and implementation of various union contracts and when necessary the intervention and settlement of disputes including arbitration appearances between the unions and GSI. Due to the nature of his position he must maintain a relationship with GSI customers and the unions. This relationship calls for intimate knowledge of each others needs and the dispensing of such needs in the best interest of the customers, the union and GSI.
